Terraced house roof lead flashing query
Hello!
Need to get lead flashing down to both sides of the roof, front and back of a normal terraced house that you see near the Boleyn ground, just wondering if its possible to know an 'average' price from you knowledgeable lot on here please?
What sort of quote should I be being given. One trade site said roughly £500/700 and done in a day.
Also, are the required to use scaffolding or can they (as I have seen elsewhere) just go up a really tall ladder?

All help/sarcasm/mocking appreciated in advance.
COYI!!

Re: Terraced house roof lead flashing query
I hate ladders.
Many years ago I did a few days work for a builder mate of mine. One particular job was clearing out an old dears gutters.
Knowing I don't like ladders the cunt made me get up one to collect something he'd left up there.
I'm half way up and he started kicking the bottom of the ladder. I gripped it like a cat would, nails dug in and arms wrapped around it.
He pissed himself, I chased him round the garden with one of those little fork things.

He's still reminding me of it 15 years later.

Price seems about right, and you shouldn't need scaffolding.

I have had work done on my roof, only ever used ladders.

Is that a form of Zoltaneering?

true enough Buster....I've seen loads of ladders propped up with 'builders' going up and down doing whatever on the roof.

Re: Terraced house roof lead flashing query
Get it done without scaffolding and you'll save money. Fuck all the H&S bollocks.

Had our roof done last year, ten Indians turned up in a transit van at 8am, used one ladder and had redone the whole roof and were gone by 2pm. Never seen anything like it in my life. Did a fucking good job too and came back and did the neighbours roof this summer.

Saved two grand over the best quote we had done locally, all of which included scaffolding.
